Is there one place in the world that just makes you happy?  I have been very blessed to have travelled to lots of places in my life but for my all time favourite destination and happy place; it’s the UK.  That was the first trip, on my own, at the grown up age of 15 to visit my friend in England. I met Judy when her, two sisters, mom and dad immigrated to Canada for ten years.  I thought that was so adventurous and not to mention I was immediately hooked by the accent.  So the second I graduated from high school, off I went across the pond.  I flew Air Canada on a 747. To me flying on such an aircraft meant you were going somewhere!  2020 was the year all 747s have been retired.  Feeling nostalgic they are gone.

Experiencing and exploring a destination with a local is the best.  I feel like I have really got to know the character of the UK and off the beaten track adventures.  This is September 1980.  How things have changes and stayed the same!
