Trollbeads invited six Chinese designers to show you their “China”.
With complete freedom to draw inspiration from any corner of Chinese culture – from folklore and mythology in the depths of Chinese history, to the vibrant colours of modern day Chinese life – these six designers created Trollbeads China – Limited Edition, which was released in 2009 and consists of a set of 20 beads: 10 sterling silver beads and 10 jade beads.
Trollbeads China is a private glimpse into a rich and varied culture as seen through the eyes of the people that know it best. From the wondrous Great Wall of China to the mythological Chinese Dragon and Phoenix, to the tiny silkworm, the elaborate engravings featured on each silver bead reflect the culture and philosophy of one of the world’s oldest civilizations. These enthralling beads are said to be the most intricately detailed sterling silver beauties that Trollbeads has ever produced… simply stunning!
Because of the extremely limited quantities of this enthralling set, understandably, Trollbeads China – Limited Edition has become the “Holy Grail” of all Trollbeads to most Troll fans! Suzie Q is my go to artist for jewellery mastery because of her quirky creativity, her love of colour, and not being afraid to be OTT. The opportunity to acquire the China Beads then having her create the bracelet for me led to something truly unique and amazing.
She added fabulous touches like add an ‘O’ spacer bead to customize my bracelet.
Swarovski beads, called “BeCharmed” , were also part of this work of art to highlight the China beads.
Suzie is quite amazing at matching my personality to my jewellery created by her. To finish the bracelet off, she introduced me to me to an inspired choice – an elephant lock. A wonderful and playful piece of jewellery. It’s story is of a mother and child grip each other’s tail with their trunks, forming a strong link. Elephants are strong, gracious animals, befitting the lock.
So, not only do I have a WOW-za bracelet that reflects my love of travelling but one that is a true fashion statement that’s one of a kind.
